Purpose

See at a glance which depots can supply the study, using the same Active/Inactive status badges shown for sites.

Expected outcome

You can tell whether a depot is usable for new supply activity and change its status through the controlled edit form.

Prerequisites

Depots are listed for users who are not restricted to specific sites. Editing requires site-management permission for the study.

Section 1: Read depot status

Open Sites & Depots. The Depots card lists Name, Address, Consignee and Status, shown as an Active or Inactive badge.

  • Active: available for new lots and shipments.
  • Inactive: excluded from new supply activity; its lots, shipments and history remain visible.

Section 2: Change depot status

  1. Select Edit on the depot row.
  2. Under Operations, select or clear Active.
  3. Select Save; the change is recorded in the audit trail.

Example: the EU Depot contract ends. The supply manager sets it Inactive; its past shipments remain visible, and new lots must use the US Depot.

Troubleshooting and checks

Make a depot Inactive instead of deleting it, so that shipment and temperature history stay traceable. Confirm that no shipments are in transit before deactivating a depot.
