How tiers and invoices work
Which tier does a new Account start on?
Every newly registered Account starts on the Free tier. An Account Administrator can move to a self-selectable paid tier from the My account page whenever the study needs more capacity.
What happens when we reach a limit?
The action that would exceed the limit, such as creating a study, activating a site or depot, or randomizing a subject, is blocked and an upgrade notice is shown. Existing records and data are never affected.
How is each month billed?
Each calendar month is billed at the highest tier the Account held during that month. The one-time setup fee for a tier is charged once, the first time the Account moves to that tier. Monthly invoices are available on the My account page.
Can we move to a lower tier?
Yes, if current usage fits the lower tier’s limits. Tier changes are confirmed with an electronic signature and recorded in the audit trail.
How does Platinum work?
Platinum removes scale limits and is arranged by contract for commercial sponsors and global CROs. Contact us to discuss your portfolio.
